Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche is a fully accomplished meditation Master and internationally renowned Teacher of Buddhism who has pioneered the introduction of modern Buddhism into contemporary society. Presenting Buddha’s teachings in a way that is relevant and suitable for modern people with busy lives, he shows how these teachings can be used by anyone, Buddhist or non-Buddhist, to solve problems, improve relationships, and eventually attain a deep and lasting inner peace and happiness.

He is the founder of Keajra Kadampa Buddhist Centre and The New Kadampa Tradition.


New Kadampa Tradition

An international association of study and meditation centers that follow the pure tradition of Mahayana Buddhism derived from the Buddhist meditators and scholars Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa and introduced into the West by the Buddhist Teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Manjushri Centre

An internationally renowned centre for meditation in Cumbria. 

 It is open year round with Temple Visits, a Cafe, and Woodland Walks.

Kadam John became a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang  Gyatso Rinpoche in 1984 and has taught Dharma in many countries of this world and has also completed years of retreat.

Keajra Centre

The Centre is part of the New Kadampa Tradition.

It has been in Blackpool since the late 1990s.

Classes are held regularly throughout the year and are open to anyone.
